Daddy Daughter Date

Jessica and Tony had a Daddy Daughter date for achievement days. They were supposed to wear a costume but we had a hard time finding something that they could do together. So, I went online and found some ideas from some craft sites. They ended up going as black-eyed-Pees.

Cuddling with dad

Last Sunday after church Sarah was trying to convince us that she was too big for a nap. As she was dozing on Tony's shoulder.

Helping Grandma

Joey and Jessica helping to make applesauce. Joe helped a lot as we were canning applesauce, corn, and beets. Jess really liked helping with the apples. It's fun learning how to help mom and grandma and these are moments I hope she remembers for life.
Sarah mostly just likes to be around grandma. She asks all the time to go to grandma's house. Personally I think it's because Grandma spoils them.

The Hike to Iron Bog

Nature in all it's splendor.

Finally at the lake. They had to turn right around and come back because it started to look like rain. So they hiked two miles each way at a pretty good incline just to turn around and come back. And that my friend is why I stayed at camp to begin with.

Camping Labor Day Weekend

who could possibly manage to stay clean while camping? I have to say though, that this is a little ridiculous.
kick back relaxing and acting all cool.

Baptism Day

Posing with Daddy before we left for the church. Jessie was soooo excited she had been telling perfect strangers for weeks that "I'm getting baptised on August 9th."
Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you Jessie. We love you!!
Jessie and Daddy in their wonderful white jumpsuits.
Jessica was baptised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on August 9th 2008. She has always been such a special spirit that you can't help but love her. She is a joy and an inspiration in our lives, and we are so very lucky that she came to us.

Jessie's 8th birthday

Guess she got what she wanted

Jordan, Reilly, Shynaia, Jessica, Katie, Kamrynn, and Sarah
a few friends for life
trying to drown the birthday girl (what are sisters for?)
"Everybody pile on Joey so we can dunk him!"

We took the kids to "the Apple Athletic Club" for Jessie's birthday. They played in the water for a while. Then when they started to get cold we had cupcakes and punch. After that Joe and Missy led them in a game of red rover in the water. They all had a lot of fun and best of all, they weren't in my house the whole time.

T-ball

This was Sarah's first year in T-ball and even though the season ended July 2nd (so I'm late so what) I still had to show off how cute she looks running the bases. She would skip to the base then jump off of it to give me a hug.

Swim lessons

The girls really loved swim lessons this year. Jessie is like a fish, she just takes right to the water and I have to fight to get her out of it. Sarah even had a lot of fun this year she actually went to her coach without me sitting on the side of the pool. It probably helped that she had a friend in class. The boy on her right is Kayleb (she says he is her boyfriend).

After the parade

Nephews climbing on top of a tank.
AHHHH!!! Tienamen Square!!!! Don't let it run over me!
rough housing with cousins.
Thinks he's a bull rider!
After the parade we had a picnic, then went to a park in Blackfoot where the kids got to play on these old tanks that are set up for playing. Later after it got dark we sat around and watched the fireworks. We had such a fun time we can't wait for Allen and Laura to bring the kids back again. Or maybe we should take time to go see them.

July 4th

For the Fourth this year Tony's brother and his family came up from Las Vegas to visit. We all decided to go watch Jessie in the parade.
