Finally

I know it's been a while, ok a long while, but it's time to update. So, not much to write about. Tony's work is going a little slow, but at least he's working, right? I am working at the elementary school here. I was substitute teaching for most of the year but have moved into a full-time job now. It is nice to have the ability to be with the kids and to work their hours. Especially with Sarah starting kindergarten in the fall.

I registered her for school this week and am having a hard time getting used to the fact that she is getting big. She just seems so little to me. She went in and talked to the speech therapist at our school and we will be working with her this summer. She has a bit of a lisp and still has a hard time with her r's and l's but nothing to worry about. We will have to spend some extra time getting her to open up to strangers though. The shy thing is normal but she is so dependent on big brother and sisters that it may be hard at first. At least I will be at the school every day if she needs me.

Joey is getting to be such a man that I don't hardly know what to do with him. Naturally, being 16, he is turning into a grown up too fast. I am pretty proud of the kind of person he is becoming though he is a really good guy. He has girls flirting and staring all the time, but he seems to only have eyes for one. Too bad she doesn't live closer.

Marissa is doing good in school as usual. She got braces last week and is not too happy about the adjustment period. She still does ballet and does it so well. She is so beautiful and gracefull up on the stage. As much as I wish she was my biological child, it's probably good for her that she doesn't have my ability to trip over air. She got lucky. She had her picture in the local paper with her ballet company, but she had a moose head in front of her face so you couldn't really see her. They did a ballet about Idaho animals. Only Miss could make a moose look gracefull.

Jessie is doing great. She is above her grade levels in all of her subjects and consistantly brings home straight A's. Her teacher still has to deal with her sociallite status though. She is such a sweety that no one can get too mad at her. She loves to read and sat in her room for almost 2 hours today reading a book. I just can't get her to take A.R. tests on the books she reads though. She always meets her goals, but she could be blowing them out of the water if she wanted. Jessie is not in cheerleading this year. She really enjoyed it but we had to pick between cheer and piano and she would rather stay in piano lessons. She seems to have a nack for it.

Well that's about all that's going on around here. We're looking forward to spending more time outside, if summer comes this year. (I'm beginning to wonder if it will) So we should have more to talk about as we get out.
